Things that Inspire

Today I was web surfing (which I LOVE) and came across a site that I thought was pretty awesome and inspirational to my mood. Thought I would share them with you. Some people surf the web in search of things to buy, some in search of information, and I'm sure there are many more reasons - I surf for colors, textures, and combinations of the two - a whole world of color beyond what's around me is what I love to find online.

Today I came across this little etsy shop, "Adam's Blankie" at http://www.etsy.com/shop/adamsblankie?page=10. There are so many creative designs with fun fabrics that really made my eyes POP out in a big WOW! and actually made my hands itch to draw and create these amazing colorful patterns. Seeing colors brought together in a new arrangement of shapes and patterns is very inspirational to a graphic designer and gets me in the mood to do some creating.

Not to mention that the items on this site are simply adorably chic - if I had a little one, I would be shopping here often!

Either Full Steam Ahead or..

Well, I've been slacking on my blogging! Not that there hasn't been anything to talk about :) I have been so blessedly busy. I know, I tell you as website owners to get online, socialize, connect your business and I set the worst example by not following my own advice!

Things that are happening with me - I closed my Facebook page for SpiffyBoutiques.com in June. I could really smack myself for doing that! I had about 800 followers and I really enjoyed it. I think I was starting to feel that I spent too much time on FB and not enough on the things I needed to be doing.

I have reached a point with Spiffy Boutiques where I need to either take the bull by the horns and run with it all the way, or pass it on to someone else who will hopefully do what I seem to be afraid to do.

Let's see what happens...

A Trove of Primitive Treasure

Several months ago I met up with an old friend Michelle via email and she asked me to work on this fun project with her. Michelle and her mom were opening up a small country store to sell primitives and country knickknacks. They needed a logo design as well as business cards and a website.

I was pretty excited, because I LOVE the old country designs, antiques, salt box items and primitives, but rarely get the opportunity to create for such a store. And a bit intimidated as well, because it's such a different type of design for me to venture into.

Luckily, I was able to create a logo and layout that they loved and now that they have had some time to fill up their store I wanted to share it with you!

Happy New Year!

Apparently I've been MIA on this blog deal :) Facebook has been such a blessing and a wonderful business tool for SpiffyBoutiques.com, but it does take up a great deal of my time and not leave much energy for the blog.

Today I feel inspired to get back in touch with anyone who may be reading this blog of mine. What's new at SpiffyBoutiques.com? Well..... I haven't added any new layouts recently, but I am working on it! Instead, I've been completing some fun projects and helping my wonderful customers realize their dreams of having a professional look for their online shops.

I am proud to share these awesome stores with you!

StampedUndertheMoon.com is a brilliant Hand Stamped Jewelry shop owned by Cisco. Her designs are lovely and affordable! I have one on it's way to me and I cannot wait to see it and wear it!! Very excited ;) Cisco's site was so much fun to work with and I enjoyed the freedom she gave me with color and layout. Be sure to stop in and see the one of a kind jewelry she has to offer, just tell her Spiffy Boutiques sent you!

LoveMyJeanSkirt.com is a completely unique boutique shop that is such an inspiration to me. The fabulous woman behind the designs, Theresa is a WAHM of 10 children! Yet, she still finds the time to take ordinary Jeans and create amazing Modest Jean Skirts for women of all ages and sizes. You can order ones that she has premade or Custom order your very own. Theresa will even work with Jeans that you send her to create your skirt. It has been a pleasure to work with Theresa on her dream website and I know she will continue to grow her business online. Please stop by and check out how creative Theresa is at Love My Jean Skirt. I'm sure you will find something for yourself or a loved one.
